About
Housed in a beautifully converted Victorian Town Hall, Kirkcudbright Galleries holds a Nationally Significant Collection of over 600 works spanning fine art, illustration, decorative art, silverware, and furniture. The collection celebrates the Kirkcudbright Artists' Colony that flourished from the 1880s onward, featuring works by E.A. Hornel, Jessie M. King, S.J. Peploe, Charles Oppenheimer, and John Faed. A large first-floor gallery hosts temporary exhibitions, while the award-winning cafe and gallery shop make this a cornerstone of any Kirkcudbright visit.
